Beginner’s Yoga Class At Our Yoga Studio In Dallas
Physical fitness is something everyone needs, but not many people have. Or if they are healthy, they aren’t quite as athletic as they’d like. Some people don’t have the time to exercise; others have health issues that impact mobility or executive functions. For those people, the idea of physical fitness is an unattainable goal.
I used to think that way. I have severe ADHD as well as chronic depression. These issues kept me wandering around like a zombie in my home, “meaning to” do everything and doing nothing. Even with medication, I was only semi-functional.
Then I found out about yoga and found YogaSport. I had heard of yoga from television and movies, but I’d never actually been inside of a yoga studio. I just knew I had to do something, anything, or I would waste away at home a prisoner to my mind. So I went in and joined a beginner’s class.
What Makes Us So Great?
When I went in to ask about classes, the staff was incredibly kind and patient. Due to my non-neurotypical brain, I can have a hard time processing information. They never seemed angry or impatient, and they were happy to answer my questions as many times as I had to ask. This went a long way to making me feel comfortable.
They also didn’t try to sell me anything. They talked about what their classes offered, how often the classes met, and what I’d be doing in those classes. The subject of cost didn’t come up until I asked, and it turned out that a beginner’s class was within my budget!
What Is Fitness Level Necessary For Beginner’s Yoga?
Even at my best moments, I have a hard time with physical activity. It’s hard to get the motivation, and it’s even harder to keep my attention focused long enough to do something worthwhile. So I was hesitant about what I’d experience.
It turns out that yoga for beginners is incredibly easy. Yoga involves stretching and holding poses that cause minor pressure on the muscles. Over time, it makes you more flexible, and your body is better able to move and function. Also, it can make you stronger as you hold your body weight for long periods of time.
However, it does this no matter how well you do the poses. The important thing is to do them regularly and for as long as you can. Over time, your body will adjust, and you’ll be able to do more of the stretches and hold them for long. So you can take a beginner’s yoga class no matter what your level of physical health is.
